ELEV8 Senior Attackman/Midfielder Connor Finlay Commits to Colorado Mesa University
Calgary AB, April 13th 2017 – Media Release – ELEV8 Lacrosse President Geoff Snider is pleased to announce that Connor Finlay, has committed to Colorado Mesa University and will head south this fall to Grand Junction, Colorado. An ELEV8 Elite attackman, Finlay will join the 17th ranked NCAA Division II Maverick men’s lacrosse freshman class that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Finlay a member of ELEV8 Lacrosse’s Senior class attends Springbank Community High School and will graduate June 2017. He has been a student-athlete in the ELEV8 program for the last eight years and has been involved in every ELEV8 program including, ELEV8 Winter Training, ELEV8 Elite Fall Travel, ELEV8 EXPtc and Calgary Field. He stated that “Geoff and Bob Snider have been my mentors throughout my lacrosse career. In each of their programs, we were fortunate enough to have the top lacrosse players in the world as members of their coaching staff. I always had to arrive at practice ready to play at the highest level. They pushed me to be the best student-athlete that I could be. Each field practice ran as a collegiate program would, so that we would know what to expect.”
Finlay is planning to pursue a Science degree at Colorado Mesa and has further plans to pursue a medical degree. “I chose Colorado Mesa because I felt it was the best for me. The school is the right size and it’s set in a great environment.”

ELEV8 is aimed to develop and provide the highest level of instruction for the growing sports of field and box lacrosse for Canadian student-athletes. Since its inception, ELEV8 has broadened its scope to include grassroots implementation; hybrid lacrosse, Elite box lacrosse, and Elite field lacrosse development, as well as, NCAA recruiting and guidance for student-athletes and families.
