COACHES2026 ELEV8 GIRLS Box Training
ELEV8 Elite Girls Box Program provides female box lacrosse players with the best training, competition, coaching, guidance, and mentorship. Female Student-athletes will develop, improve, and gain confidence through the team-focused box concepts while being coached by current & former professional players & coaches who have excelled in the sport at every possible level.
The ELEV8 Elite Girls Box Program provides female student-athletes development on:
- Individual and Team fundamentals
- Stick skills (passing/catching, shooting,, ground balls, dodging/ball protection)
- Individual offensive and defensive skills (body position, checking, shooting, dodging)
- Team Offense/Defense
- Transition Situations (2 v 1, 3 v 2, 4 v 3, and full floor transition settings)
- Lacrosse IQ and decision making
- Aptitude in pressure situations
- Speed and Agility
- Generating optimal scoring opportunities
- Creativity in on-ball and off-ball scenarios
- Picks/Rolls/Seals and various offensive sets
- And most importantly… fun!
INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF
Fast-paced, high repetition training led by current and former National Lacrosse League and NCAA female players creates an ideal learning environment for female student-athletes of all ages and abilities.
Having competed at the highest levels, ELEV8 Coaches have won championships at all levels. This experience enhances a deep understanding of player development and the commitment required for student-athletes to reach their goals as top priorities to jump to the next level.
ELEV8 Lacrosse coaches are highly professional and engaging individuals. Coaches interact with each individual student providing meaningful feedback and building confidence through the development of Canada’s National Summer Sport.

2026 ELITE BOX TRAVEL TEAMS
In addition to the training provided with the ELEV8 Girls Box Training program, optional travel opportunities are available. Female student-athletes can enrol in the 2026 ELEV8 Elite Box Travel program.
Elite Box teams will compete at the USBOXLA Winter National tournament in Phoenix, AZ. Current and former professional National Lacrosse League box players will coach student-athletes.
Elite Box Travel Team training is fast, physical, and intense, helping female student-athletes develop into complete two-way players. Female teams are open in the following age categories:

Lock in for both Girls Hybrid and Girls Box and score a $200 credit towards any future ELEV8 program.
Program Director
Geoff Snider, a Calgary native and University of Denver alumnus, was drafted 4th overall in the 2006 NLL Draft. A legendary transition player, he was inducted into the Canada Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2024, recognizing his extraordinary career. Highlights include two-time NLL All-Star MVP (2008, 2012), NLL all-time faceoff wins record (2,468), two FIL World Championships with Team Canada (2006, 2014), and founding ELEV8 Lacrosse. His legacy spans professional leagues including NLL, MLL, and international competitions, where he was a pivotal player and leader.
PAST instructors include
Bob Snider, a Bellarmine University alumnus, was drafted 16th overall in the 2009 NLL Draft by the Philadelphia Wings. An 11-year NLL veteran, he won the 2019 NLL Championship with the Calgary Roughnecks and was a three-time NLL Face-off Leader (2011–2013). Snider also holds the 2012 single-season record for face-off wins and is ELEV8 Lacrosse’s Director of Player Development.
Dan Taylor, a Calgary native and ELEV8 Lacrosse alumnus, starred at Lehigh University, leading the Patriot League with 77 points in 2015. Drafted 12th overall in the 2015 NLL Draft, he won the 2016 NLL Championship with the Saskatchewan Rush and was named their Rookie of the Year. Taylor continues to make an impact in the Calgary lacrosse community.
Steve Fryer, longtime NLL goaltender, served as a dedicated ELEV8 Lacrosse coach. Drawing on his pro experience with teams like Calgary and Colorado, he shared his knowledge, discipline, and passion for the game, helping young goalies and players develop skill and confidence.
