A Calgary native and proud ELEV8 Lacrosse alumni, Matthew Colebrook brings professional-level defensive experience and a proven development pathway back to the programs that helped shape him.
Matthew developed through ELEV8 Lacrosse as an ELEV8 Elite Post-Grad defender, playing minor box with the Calgary Sabrecats and minor field lacrosse with Calgary Field Lacrosse, before advancing to the Calgary Mountaineers Junior A club. He then earned a scholarship to Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina, where he competed at the NCAA Division II level with the Saints. Limestone was one of the top programs in NCAA DII during his tenure, finishing the 2025 season ranked No. 2 nationally with a 16-3 record.
After his collegiate career, Matthew joined the Ladner Pioneers in Senior B lacrosse, where he was named Game MVP in the 2025 Senior B playoffs. His standout defensive performances earned him a spot in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft, where his hometown Calgary Roughnecks selected him in the sixth round, 76th overall, bringing him full circle back to Calgary.
Now a coach with ELEV8 Lacrosse, Matthew brings NLL draft pedigree and four years of NCAA Division II experience at one of the top programs in the country to player development, with a focus on defensive fundamentals and compete level.
