Meet Steve Fryer, the seasoned goaltender coach for ELEV8 Lacrosse. With an impressive nine-year stint in the National Lacrosse League (NLL), Fryer’s journey has been marked by resilience and passion for the game. Although primarily a backup goalie during his NLL career, Fryer’s dedication and expertise make him a valuable asset to the lacrosse community.

Hailing from Brampton, Ontario, Fryer’s lacrosse journey began when he was selected in the 3rd round, 28th overall, by the Philadelphia Wings in the 2011 NLL Draft. His early years saw him as the backup goalie for the Wings in 2012, where he gained valuable experience in two crucial games.

Fryer’s Junior A lacrosse career unfolded with stints in Coquitlam and his hometown of Brampton. He played a pivotal role in the Minto Cup Canadian Junior “A” championship, representing Brampton in 2009 and Coquitlam in 2011, narrowly missing the championship on both occasions.

In the Ontario Major Series Lacrosse (MSL), Fryer showcased his skills with the Brooklin Redmen, while the Langley Thunder became his Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) destination in British Columbia. His lacrosse journey reached a pinnacle in 2012 when he made a memorable appearance in the Mann Cup Canadian Senior “A” Championship with the Thunder.

Now, as the Goaltender Coach for ELEV8 Lacrosse, Fryer brings a wealth of experience, a deep understanding of the game, and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of lacrosse talent.
